Portrait of Sound, 2026

Sound installation

Duration: 7 min. 46 sec.

This work explores the concept of “home” as an acoustic experience formed in memory – a portrait made of sound. Home remains in our memory not only through what it looks like, but also through its sounds: everyday, habitual noises that become recognizable as home. Here, Baku is presented as a soundscape where collective and personal memories overlap. The installation creates a meditative listening experience through these sounds. This sonic meditation activates visual imagination and personal recollections, guiding the listener toward a sense of ‘home’ constructed through sound and memory.
