Unique piece
A glowing LED tube suspends the quiet fall of an old satin curtain. Its cold, linear light washes over the fabric, revealing both the softness of its sheen and the roughness of its hand-mended wounds.
The piece is constructed entirely from recovered elements: a horizontal LED tube with visible cable and connector, and a discarded satin curtain repaired through hand-darning. Two knitted ropes hold the light structure in place, exposing the system that sustains it.
Lucía explores the tension between care and exposure, fragility and support. The light does not conceal the scars – it insists on them. What was once domestic and ornamental becomes architectural and vulnerable, suspended between collapse and repair.
