Stillborn, 2023

Mixed media, including bones, fake hair, organic materials, assembly foam, resin, ceramics, wax; 200 x 160 cm

Stillborn is dedicated to the complex tapestry of femininity, girlhood and motherhood, through which the artist reveals the morbidity inherent in the binary nature of reality and reveals the human struggle to adapt to an ever-changing world. The work delves into the intricate web of binary oppositions, navigating the paradox of simultaneously embracing and rejecting the absurdity inherent in the painful human experience. The ritual symbolism of the work blurs the boundaries between reality and perception and emphasizes the ephemerality and fragility of life.
